Baghdad – On the sidelines of the 8th Baghdad Dialogue Conference, Mr. Omar Al-Khafaji, President of Asfar Organization for Educational Development and Sustainable Development, met with Mrs. Ala Talabani, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Women’s Affairs. The meeting addressed key issues and dossiers concerning women’s empowerment and their essential role in sustainable development and community building.
During the meeting, both sides explored avenues for mutual cooperation and coordination across educational and developmental sectors. They reviewed impactful initiatives and programs designed to support Iraqi women and expand their active participation in various fields, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the national vision for comprehensive development.

The conference convened under the theme: “100 Days After the Formation of the Ninth Government: Iraq from Crisis Management to Building Strategic Partnerships.”
The conference sessions witnessed comprehensive discussions on several national, regional, and international files, exploring the key opportunities and challenges facing Iraq, in addition to reviewing insights and strategic approaches related to stability, development, institutional cooperation, and empowering national and academic entities.
